Let’s say you would like to get fit. If your affirmation is “I will lose weight and go to the gym every day,” how does that make you feel? The energy that comes with that statement will not motivate you because it focuses on the negative aspects of your goal.
The thought of needing to lose weight or having to find time to go to the gym pushes your goal out into an unknown future.

In this article I’m sharing 6 practical tips to help you maximize your affirmations and elevate your energy and vibration.
- Your affirmations must in present tense
Using present tense keeps the energy upbeat and focus in the present moment. Now your affirmation should start with I am [positive verb].
Keep in mind the universe doesn’t know the difference whether your thoughts are current, past tense, or in the future.
The universe will give you what you focus on. Keeping your affirmation in present tense allow the universe to give you what you want to manifest sooner.
2. Include Positive Emotions… Control your thoughts
Imagine how you will feel when you have manifested your disires. Are you Proud of yourself? Relaxed? happy? Grateful?
Make sure your affirmation makes you feel good when you say it out loud. How you feel matters when it comes to manifestation.
3. Keep it brief
Make your affirmations brief and memorable. Concise, focused statements are easier to remember.
4. Stay in the moment
Your affirmation should always be in the present tense. You always want to use “I am” versus “I will” statements in other words think of your affirmation as you are living in the future. The future is now!
5. Keep it Positive. Your thoughts matter here.

“I am enjoying getting slimmer and fitter every day.”
Instead of “I will lose weight and go to the gym every day,” let’s make it something that will make you feel good.
“I am feeling stronger and healthier by choosing a healthier lifestyle.”
“I am joyfully and easily helping my body to get stronger and slimmer every day.”
